COULD IT HAPPEN?

Imagine:

Midday, early November.

In front of the diocesan chancery a crowd builds...

A crowd of men and women,

Some in costume, some in masks, some with signs.

It's not a mob of sullen protestors,

Nor a devout procession mourning their sins,

But a festive band of those once abused by clergy,

Some sexually, some in other ways,

All here to show their friends, the Church, and the world

That they live, and they are free and they have come

To return the shame that stained them

To its source and rightful home

And reclaim their place as God's children, too.

Now imagine this:

It's happening the same day and time in dioceses across the globe.
